The Startup World Cup 2020 qualifications will take place in Bulgaria for the very first time. The beautiful city of Varna will host the competition during one of the largest high-tech and business conferences in Southeastern Europe Innowave Summit 2019.

The winners of the qualifications in Varna, along with another 40 start-ups from the other regional competitions, will have a unique chance to compete for a prize pool of $1,000,000. The finale will take place in San Francisco on May 22, 2020.

Innowave Summit 2019 is hosting the Startup World Cup in Varna on October 19th. The competition’s jury will consist of speakers and representatives of global investment funds, as well as angel investors from all over the world.

“This event has changed my whole life!”, said Carlos Castro Gonzalez, co-founder of the startup Abivin, which won the grand prize over the past edition. He added that the Startup World Cup has been a springboard for his innovation business in the sphere of healthcare.
